The Interval That Made the Difference

I think I can speak for my entire class when I say I thought I might die in spin class yesterday morning. At least throw up or pass out. It was intense to say the least. At one point I may have been seeing stars. Seriously. It was that legit.

Somewhere between trying to breathe and not pass out, I remember the instructor said something along the lines of: Don’t give up. What if this is the interval that makes THE difference?

I thought about the birth of Jesus. And how that is the interval that made THE difference. Forever made a difference. Mary could have doubted or been fearful of what others might think of her pregnancy. She could have chosen to end the life of her unborn baby. Joseph could have become angry and abandoned Mary to raise her baby on her own. But they believed what they were told by the angels. And they didn’t give up.

Jesus is the interval that changed the world.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” -John 3:16
